Korean-speaking Relocation Help Needed in Hartford, CT

Dear Korean Graduate Student Association,

My name is Libby Palmer and I work for IOR Global Services (www.iorworld.com).  We are a premier provider of destination services in relocation, intercultural training and language tutoring to Fortune 500 companies that are transferring executives internationally.  I found your name and contact information on LinkedIn.

We have a client company that is transferring three high-level executives and their families to Hartford, CT from Korea, and I have been authorized to hire a new Destination Services Consultant (DSC) to assist them as they settle into this area.  These executives speak English – but their families do not.  Therefore, we need for this new DSC to speak Korean (or at a minimum, be familiar with it).  We expect these assignments to be full programs – probably at least 4 or 5 day authorizations (32 – 40 hours of assistance, spread out over several weeks.)  Tasks may include a community orientation, help with house/apartment hunting, schools, banking, applying for a driver’s license, etc.  It is an interesting, part-time on-call position for the right person.

We will send complete training materials to the new DSC and provide a free 2.5 – 3 hour telephone (or skype) training session.  Candidates must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, knowledge of the area, ability to research and gather area information, and basic computer skills with internet access.  Additional details of this position can be found on our website at:

We are prepared to pay approximately $1000 to $1250 for these assignments (more if more time is approved as these are high-level executives).

I would really appreciate your advice on individuals or groups that I should contact regarding this position.  Candidates should respond to me with a recent resume/CV – or an e-mail telling me of their experiences that are pertinent to this work.  As the first executive may be in Hartford as early as next week, we obviously need to hire and train this new DSC as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions.  I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Best regards,

Libby Palmer
