About Us

Korean Graduate Student Association at Yale (KGSA) consists of about 200 Korean/Korean-American students and post-docs in graduate school of art and science and 11 professional schools at Yale University. It also includes about a dozen of faculty members at Yale and some Yale almuni living nearby. 

The main purpose of KGSA is to promote friendship among its members and broaden understanding of Korea and Korean culture in Yale and New Haven community. Main events include picnics in September (welcoming party for new members) and in May (farewell party for graduating students), and so forth. Besides, through KGSA, many Korean companies and academic institutions have been recruiting Korean students and post-docs at Yale University and institutions in Connecticut and elsewhere.
